Help! backup / stop lights switch wriring hook up
I recently pulled my engine and transmission out of my 1968 Corvette while doing so I unhooked the backup / stop light switch that is mounted on the transmission and has wires that lead off of it with a connector on the end. Help! Now that I have the new engine and transmission installed I cannot find where this connector needs to plug back into. I don't see another set of wires hanging down for this to plug into. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is a manual 4 speed Muncie transmission
Thanks for any help!

Your profile isn't filled out that would normally clue us in on some of the following details.
What year is your car?
Is it a manual or automatic?
If auto...
Which automatic transmission do you have?

1968 Corvette back up light switch
It is a 1968 Corvette with a 4 speed Muncie Transmission. Cord coming from switch has one wire all light green and one light green and red.

there should be an L- shaped plug with the corresponding green and red wires up on the driver's side of center of the firewall. It exits the firewall on the driver's side of the washer motor and comes through a large three hole grommet.

standing on the driver's side of engine bay look at about 4-5 o'clock off the valve cover's lower right corner and there should be a short wire with the L-connector and the red and green wires going into the firewall....

Thanks for the reply. I have exactly the same problem. In the process of installing new transmission tunnel insulation, I lost track of where the backup up light connector coming from the body is. Now I can track it down. I really like the 68 backup lights and its annoying that mine are not working.
