Default Decal Missing. Help Figuring out what it was

Hi,
70 vette,350, drivers side, right near the hood latch, facing the sky, looks like maybe 6inches by 1.5 inches, approx. any idea what it was that went there?
Thank You

It's the data decal - show timing, smog details and other. Almost all
vendors have this year/engine specific - probably under $10. Check
vendor catalogs/web under "decals".

It is the emissions tag. Different tags for different hp ratings. Think Ecklers have them, but want more for shipping than they want for the sticker. I am wanting one myself, but am waiting till I need something else because of the shipping cost. If someone knows another place to get the label let me know

I just checked the link out.. So it's safe to say that an original decal
can tell you how the car came from the factory, motor wise?????

Default Ummm

Not exactly. It's more like supporting evidence, if authentic.

NUMBERS MATCHING and ORIGINAL are "hot buttons" around here, so be forewarned.

I've enjoyed checking things (transmission, engine block, differential, alternator, etc.) and have learned a lot. Couldn't have done it without help from here. Actually it's more of an on-going thing. Welcome to the forum.

Default What i had is another story!!

I bought my car missing the following.... engine, hood, nose, radiator support and radiator. I always wondered how my car came from the factory...... here's a recent picture. Alot of time and money to get it here. since this picture i had the car painted, and all new chrome and trim..
