Alternator Plug

Where can I buy one of these? Do I bother trying to save the one I got?

you can get that pigtail right off the shelf of most auto parts stores including O'rielly's, advanced auto and autozone.

They cost around $3 - 4

You might also want to check what caused it to get like that in the first place, so you don't ruin the new one or worse, have an electrical fire and burn the car.

It looks like there have been some electrical issues at that plug before. Strands arcing maybe?

I bought one of those (along with some other connectors and a large laminated electrical schematic) from a vendor at Corvette Expo in Knoxville, TN, last Spring. I don't remember the name of the vendor, but apparently they are available. If you can get by without it for a few months, I may be able to pick one up for you at the Expo this Spring, assuming that vendor is back.
