Default Been a while, but I'm back...

Well, it's been a while, but I'm back and I have the itch to do a Shark project again. I had a '71, restomodded it, sold it and bought an '88. Did the same. Sold it and bought an FFR Cobra Mark III kit. Finished it last fall (will probably keep this one - awesome great fun!). Now I want to get another Shark. I am looking for a '69-'72 (gotta have chrome bumpers both ends) that I will resto-mod. Maybe even do one of those SRIII Motorsports frames if the price of the car is right.

Just thought I would post again and get back into it. Glad to be back.

Will do. Here's a couple of teasers of the Cobra, but I'll have to get on my other computer for the others - may be a day or two.

My first Ford engine!

Nothing wrong with a Cobra in my book. Of course I'd probably tick off the ford guys and put a big block Chevy in it.

OK, here are some pics of my '88. The pics of the '71 I will have to scan. Hope to get to that later this week.

On the '88, I did lots of upgrades as you will see in the pics. It was actually a pretty cool car and had about 430 hp. Nonetheless, can't wait to get back into a C3!!! Here are the pics.

I installed a Richmond overdrive 6-speed and lots of TPIS goodies along with a new cam and rebuilt heads. The exhaust was aftermarket as well.

BTW - that Cobra weighs about 2250 lbs(!) with about 430 hp (400 lb-ft of torque). OMG is it fast AND quite a handful. There is something about a Vette, though, that always brings me back. I'm planning a 383 stroker with about 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque and a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed with 3.55 or 3.73 rear gear. The Vette will be my cruiser and weekend warrior for quick trips.
