Floor mat suggestions please
Hello, gonna be 37 in a few days and my dad gave me $60 for my b-day.. I thought I'd use that wisely and invest it in some new Floor Mats for my 1979 Vette.
Keep in mind I just installed a brand new Wilcox interior, carpet, seats, doors, the works! It's black, so I would like to stay with the stock black mats.
Can anyone suggest a good pair of decent Corvette specific floor mats, and where to get them? I've looked at and bought from Ecklers, Mid America MotorWorks, and Wilcox, so I'd kinda like to stay within the realm of places I trust.
With these suggestions, should I remain completely stock, or get something with the stock fit, but a bit of flair? I think the stock mats, which I have, have a black "Corvette" vinyl name face embedded in them.
Thoughts, suggestions... Thank you!
Looks like letter "M" below, the "CORVETTE" black emblem is what is on mine currently. Should I remain stock, or go with something like "D" ? I like the flags better with the D and M as shown in the upper right example below.. Though the ones I have now, that I believe are stock to the car, only have the "CORVETTE" emblem at the top of the mats. Basically I am thinking I can remain stock, for the years, but go with the "Double emblem". Would that cause issues in terms of the "stock" nature of the car?

My wife got me a set of front mats as a gift for something- birthday, christmas, anniversary ? But she took it upon herself to get the single emblem "D" for my year in the color of the intrior. I think it is #311 or something close to it and the emblem is up on the top near the firewall not on the floor is its shown.
First impression was fair but I didnt tell her that. A couple of days later I noticed that the red,white & black in the flags lit up down there. And you really dont notice them unless your siting in it or or looking down into he car. Botton line. They have grown on me, I do like them and I probably would get them again. I dont know where she got them.
But I might add that there are different shades of interior colors. My bark blue interior is a little darker than the mats. So if your looking for a 100% match I'd go the extra mile to see that I got it.

Nice b-day present honey....
