while im driving smoke comes out from the engine area. i traced it down to the dipstick. oil is coming out of the top of the tube and spraying on to my headers.
my old dipstick tube was loose and there wasnt a gasket to seal the top, so i bought a new one and there is still oil coming out of the top.
could this be caused by too much oil pressure? or is there something else that could cause this.
btw i think my pcv is working correctly i have good vacuum and it rattles when i shake it.
There is no pressure in the bottom end. If oil is coming out the dipstick tube something else is going on. As stated above check PCV valve, hose and connection.
Here is a quess. If the lower tube in the crank case is missing and the upper dip stick tube is loose in the block. I could see how oil might find it's way out at that upper tube to block joint.

my breather filter blows alot of oil out also, which i think is mainly caused by bad pcv system. what would be the proper way to check my pvc? do i need to rent a vacuum gauge and what should it read?
i bought a new dipstick and tube and it fit tightly into the block
Remove the PCV valve from the valve cover with the engine idling, and leave the valve connected to the hose. You should be able to put your finger over the valve and feel a bit of suction, thus indicating it is working properly. If not, buy a new PCV valve - they are cheap.
