Speedo Check
I took the '69 out yesterday for a short blast up Highway 50. I took our new GPS along for the ride, and wondered how accurate the speedometer is. I held the needle steady on the 70 tick and compared it to the GPS. It read 70mph!
Just for the record, stock 3.36 gearing, P255/60-15 BFG Radial T/A tires. The speedo has never been out of the car, the tranny has been out for clutch jobs, but is original, and as far as I can remember it is the original speedo cable too.
Traffic was a little heavy to check other speeds, but I plan to do that soon.
