Default '82 Exhaust question

Does the '82 exhaust have the heat riser on the passenger side?

I have a set of manifolds for an '82 to put on my car. I am thinking about buying an exhaust kit from one of the vendors. I just wanted to know if the passenger side tube would connect directly to the exhaust manifold or if it would have a gap where the heat riser is located on earlier models.

Heat riser is on the driverside. Goes to the intake. Are you maybe thinking of the the tubes for the smog stuff?

I was thinking of the valve that bolts in between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe.

THis is the part I'm referring to.

My 82 has like factory headers and not cast iron exhaust manifolds. Do you have the cast iron manifolds?

I have a set of manifolds from an '84, but they are the same as the '82 exhaust manifolds.

I'm wanting to buy ah exhaust kit, but I want to know if one of the risers will be too short to connect to the exhaust manifold because there is supposed to be a valve in place.

The 82 vette has fuel injection and there is no need for a heat riser to heat the underside of the intake. As for my recolection I don't remember an 82 vette having a heat riser. Hope this helps you.
