Default Body Mount Shims

When I recently changed my body mounts there were no shims present on any of the mount points. I this a cause for concern? Mounts had never been replaced when I tackle them....

It's only a concern if the body lines do not match up properly after the body mounts are replaced. Once they are installed, and you can see gaps and lines you can determine if you need a shim to correct any problems.

If they weren't there, it sounds like the factory actually lined things up right the first time. I only had shims on one #4 mount - the rest were clear.

Thanks for the input, I'll check the body lines when I get home. Just for clarification DB, do you mean the door and hood seams?

Yep. The front fenders play a big role in hood and door fitment, as well as the rear clip and the doors.
