Guys, I hang out on the C1-C2 side, but back in '82-'86 I jointly owned with my father a 1971 T-top Vette. White w/Saddle interior, full power, deluxe leather interior with approx 18K miles. I bought it from Moore Cadillac Tysons Corner VA. It was on consignment from the original owner. I sold it in about 1986 to Dean Eldon Fish. At the time he was an Marine Corp Officer stationed at Quantico Marine Base, Quantico VA. I tried to track him down, but have had no luck. The serial number is 194371S115079. I have the four origianl shocks, three registration cards and two other reg. pieces of paperwork. If the current owner can be found (with proof of ownership) I'll give him or her everything just for the cost of shipping from MD. Dennis

Not often you see a previous owner trying to track down the current owner to hand over paperwork. Hope you find him/her!

I checked the VIN you give (I got people) and it is not currently showing as a car that is currently registered to anyone. Does not mean anything other then the car is not currently licensed.

Swampmarine, Very interesting, it makes me wonder. I hope someone might recognize the last name owners. Thanks, Dennis

Guys, I just found out something shocking. I Googled the name of the person I sold the car to. He passed away Oct 2007. It was the same person, background in the same location etc. He was also involved with Harleys and a officer in a HOG club. I'll check with the club to see if they can be of some help. But maybe the car was sold to someone and not registered. Thanks, Dennis

No problem Bluestripe. Hey, if by chance you have no luck with finding the new owner, I have a 71 that I sure would beinterested in buying the four orginal shocks for. If it comes to that, let me know.
