Default Difference in deck lid hinges?

Through the ins and outs of collecting parts for my project, I've ended up with three or four sets of deck lid hinges. Most of the hinges I've seen has the two upper bolt hole flanges aligned with the top of the support, but a very few different ones have the flanges raised about 1/2" higher.

The one on the right has the flanges a little higher than usual.

I'm finding out a lot of the parts one finds for sale that reads
*Fits '68 through '75 convertibles*
actually has two or even three different versions/generations through those seven years. The one that immediately comes to mind is the deck lid door.

Can anyone shed any light on the differences in these hinges? Were they different between chrome bumper and later? I've looked at pics for C2 hinges, they look like the common short flange version.

This doesn't affect me much when I'm setting up a new assembly, but the information could really matter to someone looking to replace an existing pair.
