Iam trying to install power door locks in a 78. None ever there is there a harness i can get to make this easy or is there a kit or something, if some one thats done it has any pointers
Part of the door lock harness in built into the main harness that runs in the car. I would buy the harness the plugs into the back of the door lock switches. From there I would make my own harness. I will try to post a pic of the factory wiring. Just make the same harness and it should work.
The diagram is here. Print it. I would run at least 12 guage wire with good jacket
That refers to the stock 81 Theft Deterant system. If oyu try to unlock the doors from the inside with the door locked by the key,, the alarm will sound.
well if the factory wiring works both theres got to be a way. I will try to figure it out. electric troubleshooting is not my strong point but hopefully will figure it out. Thanks again
