I bought the steel ramps from Griots Garage. They have the extension ramps and are good for low riders cars. I had rhino ramps to and they were not stable enough for my liking.
Haven't used ramps in a very long time. Jack & jackstands for me. I have a pair of Craftsman ramps. I'll use the "base" part if I want the car to sit on the wheels when off the ground, but that's it. Don't use them as ramps.

I have Rhino Ramps and have had them for about 15 years or so. No reason to have any other ramp for the C3 IMO. I usually lift the car with the floor jack and set the ramps under the wheels when doing work under the front of the car. If it is an oil change, I will drive it on the ramps after a warm up run.
i bought the 35 dollar ones at walmart and after 1 use i found a 4 inch crack in one. i brought back and called manufacturer and told them about this. i then made my own from wood. dont trust plastic anymore .
Rhino Ramps.
Get the heavier rated ones. They are silver gray. The black ones don't look as sturdy to me.
I have owned both. Left my 90 Vette on them for three weeks at a time with no issues, black ones will start to buckle especially in the hot weather due to lack of support ribbing.
I have just about the same pair from Kragen,,,,,,Paid about the same...
How safe does everyone feel under the ramps ????
I have the same as the Walmart pair. BTW, I don't have any trouble feeling safe under the ramps, but I sure don't like driving up on them, I have nightmares of accidently going to far, man that would be bad news bears......
I'm usualy skittish about using ramps and even a jack/jackstands if I plan to be working under the car. After doing a lot of thread searching homework on this forum, I just got a set of the 68" Race Ramps and wheel chocks this week and they are awesome. Lightweight but solid (literally) and 14" wide with 10 inches of lift. I'll be able to get my C4and even my '72 truck on these babies. They make a less expensive set with a little more angle for C3s called Sport Ramps - there are some threads on those in this forum - but I wanted to ensure that I got something that could accomodate the C4 too.
They weren't cheap but I don't plan to risk my life to a plastic ramp cracking or a steel ramp shooting out from under the car when I'm pulling on. This should be the last set of ramps I ever need to buy. I used a discount code (search for EVO on the website) and saved 15%. I plan to buy their rollups later to get even more lift all around the car.

What ramps do you use for the vette and how high do they lift. Thanks
Hi, just got done with WOODEN ramps 2+12" The first one is 78" and then an 18" space and next one 60" 18"space 42" 18"space and last one
24" with a 2+3" for a stop. gave me a 6" inch raise. the site i got pattern from is for mustang but works great on the vette75. I trust solid wood then Plastic if iam under it. here is the site. http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/...amps/index.htm
They are steps and i use 4+4 ends on a 45-degree for wood chucks, plus i put 2+3 behind the front wheels when its in place. worked great. Johnny r75
