Straight thru muffler recommendation?
Anyone actually running a straight thru muffler you can see through but is a little quieter than Flow 40s?
I've had Flow 40s for 5 years now and actually like the loudness but I'm upgrading my exhaust with H pipe etc.. and want to tone down a hair but still have no restriction.

You'll find that with the H pipe the series 40's are a bit quieter. They still sound great but some of the harshness/raspiness is gone.

Dynomax Ultra Flows or Borlas are probably the best bet.

I'll double the recommendation on the Ultra Flows. I have them on mine and I REALLY like them. Quieter than my old 383 with Flowmasters at idle and cruise but nasty at WOT. And the new motor w/out mufflers is much louder than the old.

Sounds good guys, that's what I was looking for. We'll try out the Ultra Flows.

We also know they didn't seem to choke T-shorts bad boy 427 on the dyno either!

I don't remember specifying a length. I got the 3" in/out, one side offset, other side through the center. I will tell you that the way I have mine in there isn't room for the spare tire carrier. Maybe with more time spent on higher angle bends on the pipes you could fit the carrier but I don't have mine installed anyways. Here's a pic:

They are perfectly straight thru, the pipe is just on a bit of an angle.
I would look at the Magnaflows, after trying the Flowmasters 40's and Dynomax Super Turbos I went back to the MagnaFlow and love the sound

Now that's what I'M talking about Panic!
I didnt realize those that Tshort shows are actually straight thru. That will still work. I'll look into those Magnaflows also MotorHD.
I'm only going 2.5, looks like most rounds like Panic are 3" plus which could still work, not sure.
