Movie posters featuring Corvettes
Here are some movie posters featuring Corvettes. There are lots of movies with Corvettes, but often the car doesn't make it on the poster. Let me know if you have any to add and I will update this post.
This link has an extensive list of movies and television shows in which a Corvette makes an appearance...

I took a look at this web site. Somebody must have had a lot of time on there hands to create it.
When I watch movies, I usually have IMDB.com up so I can read about the movies while I'm watching.
Now I have something else to check out.

In one of the Rush Hour movies Chris Tucker is driving a dark green chrome bumper C3 convertible. Jackie Chan changes the radio station and Chris Tucker says something like "Don't you know never to mess with a black man's radio?"

Thanks Ron,
I could have sworn it looked dark green in the movie, but sometimes shiney black cars look different colors in sunlight. I don't doubt it was black though.

regarding death race 2000, i saw it for the first time about 3 weeks ago, on a friday night marathon on channed 101 (direct tv) there was some old ron howard films also regarding cars (never knew he did them).
anyway, regarding 2000, as soon as i saw frankensteins car, i knew it was an older vette.
it was the OTHER cars that were built on the vw chasis.
i got so into the movie, i googled it the next day, to get some info.
from google:
Two of the race cars seen in the film were based on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis with Matilda the Hun's based on a Karmann Ghia. Frankenstein's Monster appears to be based on an early 1970s Corvette. A Nova Sterling seen near the end of the film is a kit car based on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis./
not sure if 'based on' and were are the same or not.
