Went out into the garage late yesterday with intent of firing up and exercising the Vette. However, saw this puddle of what I think is PS fluid on the floor.
Our car has high miles and always has afew drops on the floor, but never have had a puddle in the two years that we've owned it.
It was cold in the garage so I didn't go very far with my troubleshooting at that time. I pulled the PS cap and there is no fluid on the stick.
I'll have to get the front end up on the ramps to see if the leak path is visible.
I took a quick look at the manual while watching Daytona qualifiying this afternoon. The manual has some pretty good pictures of the PS system and potential leak areas. I think there were 47 potential leak spots. Well, maybe not quite that many.
What's been your experience with PS significant leaks?

If you run the pump on low fluid (Noisy turning) it can cause the bearing to wear out and then leak much worse than before. Mine did this about last week... Ill be needing a new pump
It could be leaking from any of the power steering components or from more than just one of them. Hopefully its just a hose. Check them first to see if one of them has cracks or was rubbing against something that caused it to wear and leak. Go to http://jimshea.corvettefaq.com. The Corvette steering papers have a lot of valuable diagnostic and repair information.
