Default NEED HELP!!! 79 Roll cage

This is my first post BUT thats besides the point...ANYWAY, I'm looking to put a roll cage into my 79. It's basically all gutted because I'm thinking about just fabricating the whole interior (stainless steel etc etc) BUT b4 that goes in I wanted to get the cage setup but I have never seen this done b4 on a C3 and just wanted to know if any of you have??? I'm worried about the seat and door clearance because I got honestly NO ROOM as you would all know in these cars. I'm getting the 12 point from Jegs and this is going to be a Street/Strip application. The point of me doing this is to brace my frame for a higher torque engine because I saw that sexy LSX block from GM Performance Parts and fell in love I'm trying to get this done b4 the spring so if you guys could spit some info about ANYTHING please lemme kno, tnx dudes.

I got a 78 and i have the jegster 10 point. I got plenty of clearance. I havn't welded it in yet but the pre fits good. You have to shave some hieght though to clear the roof panels if those are going back in.

You're talking about the little inserts that go on the t-tops correct??? You have to do this to leave room for the t-top handles right?

I read too fast also because I thought you were talking about the ACTUAL T-tops but now I went back and read and u were just talking about the liners. I think I'm going to keep those since they fit fine, they're black n e way so theres really no difference but you did help me a lot. Thnx
