Default What did you get done this weekend?

I took Friday off, it was beautiful weather here. I got my timing curve set up correctly as per Lar's paper and all weekend I've been on cloud nine. My car has never run this good. It used to chirp the tires shifting to 2nd, now it's noticably stronger. Also it has never pulled as hard at WOT. Therefore, I took it for a good hour drive on Friday, so of course I spent and hour tonight cleaning it up from that drive. I also got a bunch of stuff done on the Jeep daily driver.

I spent all afternoon detailing under the hood - cleaned up the brake booster and master cylinder. changed out a few vac hoses , tried to tidy up the hoses and wire looms that travel over the booster.
Looks pretty good so far but still plenty to do - just messing around waiting for my TB's to come back from re-bushing and then will get her put back together in time for the spring.

Good job! Your "new" seats look great!!

We didn't do a whole lot - installed a passenger side mirror and new hood insulation and also got our new rear speakers in. Fiddled around with the carb a bit, but are giving up - taking it to the carb shop tomorrow . . . .

I did nothing,...(to my Vette).

My wonderful wife of 18 years suprised me with a romantic weekend to the coast. She had arranged reservations at a golf retreat on the coast. She and I drove down Friday, spent the next morning,.."sleeping in late"..and then went out for a round of golf together. Came back to our very nice room and took a lonng,.."nap" together. Then, we went out for a very nice romantic supper at a local seafood reastaurant and watched the sun set while we ate. Went back to the room, watched a movie and then went to bed. Drove back home today. It was a blast!!!

She took very good care of me!!! Paid for eveerything too!!! What a Gal!!!

Installed one engine bay dust flap. Sounds easy, but does hard. 68's are stapled on.
Installed turn signal switch and had to make a tool to remove the wires from the harness. Another weird 68 thing, the wiring connector is semi circular and want fish through the column.
I also installed some clamps on the center pipes connections. The stock clamps would not seal the pipes up. Now I know why the welded the complete system on 68's Installed some new guillotine clamps on the rear exhaust tips for those pesty NCRS guys. Actually I did not like the look of the muffler shop clamps.
Good weekend all in all, just waiting for more parts to come in.

The 78 is 700 km away in my old house waiting for me to pick it up... Had my 22 month old daughter all weekend, and bought a 66 Mustang while she was napping and I was watching Daytona 500.

installed the clutch and pressure plate, bolted on the bellhousing and trans, bolted on the drive shaft, installed the z-bar, filled the rear and trans with royal purple, put new front wheel studs on, put front wheels on, snugged up motor mount bolts. the car can finally roll around its sooo easy working on a car without the body on

Only Vette related thing I did this weekend was drive it

My four year old daughter wanted to go for a walk, so I asked her if she wanted to go walking or ride in daddy's car
She chose the 68 without even having to think about it

Went to the garage, turned up the furnace, uncovered the cars. Cleaned wheels and drank beer. This is my main project until spring arrives, thankfully my cars don't need anything.

I love Canadian winters, gives us plenty of time to work on cars and enjoy some hops.
Did my body drop yesterday and still have many more enjoyable hours left in the garage hooking things up
