Default my 69 corvette video

My buddy and I spent last fathersday playing with the vette and making some videos. I finally got around to playing with some video editing software and putting some of this togehter, It was a lot of fun and i thought I would share the end product with you... I'll warn you its kinda cheesy...

Also I will toss out the disclaimer that, All performance footage was shot on abandoned roads that were prescreened for safety in regards to others. We had lookouts just incase. Safety was first priority, I do not recommend anyone try this with their car.

So if your gonna to give me a lecture, Save it.

For the rest, Enjoy:

very nicely done....

what video editing software did you use and what kind of video equipment you are using? I ask because I am using a Samsung HD Digital camcorder with 8mm tape and it is such a pain in the butt to work with in the ASF file format and then the video quality is no good by the time I upload to Youtube.

C3 DK,

Nice vert! I almost bought a 69 vert with a NOM but found this coupe in considerably better shape with the original drive train.

And Yea i think this is how Steven got his start... I have bigger plans when I have time to get the vette out and shoot some more footage.

Thanks,

Michael

Lots of fun. My only thought is that the music was too over powering. I'd have loved to hear the car more, that's the real music with these machines.
Very cool otherwise.

Carpedm,

I just using a Fuki Finepix digital camera that shoots video, I use the 640 setting and then I import it into Microsoft MovieMaker and do the editing and transitions..music...etc. Not to hightech. I plan to eventually get a HD camera.

But yea I see what you mean on your youtube video... Car sounds sweet! What exhaust are you running?

Nice video The critic in me says turn the volume down on the music, and turn up the volume on the engine...

Nice Vette too...but then again, I'm biased...

Nice job on the video. I'm itching for Spring, so I can shoot my video. BTW, I recommend this homemade steadycam unit. I found the plans for it on the web, and made it this weekend. I tested it out by chasing some goats around and also running up the stairs. Result: pretty darned steady video, especially for only $14 in parts!

Not to steal your thread, but I've been compiling a list of songs to use for video music. Here are my pics so far:
  • Highway Star - Deep Purple
  • Ramblin' Gamblin' Man - Bob Seger
  • any Boston from the 1st album!
  • Flirtin w/ Disaster - Molly Hatchet
  • Ghost Riders - The Outlaws (r.i.p. Hughie T. )

Love the song, love the car, and the video was coo too. I do agree though, let the engine noise come through more at the appropriate times.
