I like the other one as it uses the stock hardware, but yours looks cool also.
Thanks
His is just an after market truck lid. I bought one for mine but I didn't like that it was too big for the door opening. There is a magnet under the lid, that clicks open and closed like glass doors on entertainment centers...you just push to open and push it closed.
If you want one I have one new that I never installed.
DB,
I want to CNC that same LOGO on my stock lid.
Do you have a paper copy of it so I can
create a tool pass for it? glassman74
I don't have a paper copy but I have a screen capture of the CAD program when it was being designed by the etcher. PM me your email address and I can send you the image. Maybe that'll help you.

DB, you did a great job on your one of a kind hand made lid. I cant remember how you said you etched the logo into it.

I made the plate here locally and I shipped it off to a guy who does surfacing and etching. He designed the flag from some images I sent him, and he etched it into my plate.
He has also etched an engine ID plate for me, and a throttle body plate.

It pops up when you push it down. The way it's mounted is that I bought some longer bolts (the ones with the top for the hex keys) and drilled some holes through the lower section where the old one mounted and used locking nuts on the bottom. I'll post some pics when I got a chance..
In looking closer at my fuel lid, it looks like it is pot metal, can anyone confirm that this is what metal was used?
I sanded the paint off one spot down to the metal and polished it and it looks nice and shinny. As there are other polished pot metal pieces on the car I will polish the whole thing and post pictures to see what you all think. I will also pour gas on it and try and weather it to see how it will hold up as a polished piece.
But if anyone finds the billet lids above I would still like to buy one.
I started to polish the gas lid tonight but was making too much noise so I has to stop.
Kids would not go to sleep.
I will try and finish tomorrow night but this is what was done in 20 minutes.
I had to take off the paint and do a quick polish to see how she will shine. I will have to get out the 220 grit and work my way up to 1000 or so tomorrow night.
FYI I just placed the emblem back on to get a feel for the final look, I did not polish the lid with it on.
