Default Seat Frame Question

I hope one of you guys has had an early C3 seat frame out recently.

Does anyone know if the seat frame bottoms are supposed to be bent inward on only one inboard side on early C3s?

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

One side is nice and parallel all the way down the edges of the length of angle iron, and the other side (with the seat track handle) is parallel front and back but has a section that is wider than the rest in the middle.

It's straight on the outboard side, but kind of flattened-out on the inboard side toward the center of the frame.

I don't have anything to compare it to without removing one of my seats, and it's 20* in the garage today.

Thanx in advance.

Here's one of mine from a 69. I have no reason to believe that this was other than original. Hope this helps

I just installed new seat covers this week on a 71. My lower frame had a wider chanel on one side from the other, This was only on the passenger seat.

Very cool. Thanx guys.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to transfer my leather upholstery and pad from the horribly broken frame to this one.

I'll finally have a sturdy seat back that I can adjust.

I guess I'm going through a seat-phase. I just put new seats in the '88 a couple weeks ago.
