Because of the new privicy laws the DMV might not be able to help very much....especially if the car is now licensed in another state. If you happen to have a friend who is in law enforcement, he/she might have to be a higher ranking offical, they could run the VIN through their system and probably get you the current owner and address....but it would probably have to be a pretty good friend to get that kind of info.

I myself am trying to find the person who now owns my former '71 LT-1 Conv. and all I have to go on is the Vin.# (194671S101719) & now unless that friend likes being questioned about why he or she ran a VIN.# or license plate # by their superiors they wont do it, that avenue dried up about two years ago. It has trickled down from the DMV and their privacy edicts. Rank might not have its privileges in this case now. But good luck in your search. Peace,,,Moosie
