Do you have any way to determine the VIN?

I'd try the last DMV you dealt with, see if they have a historical records person.

Also, if you remember the VIN, NCRS has an Awards Verification Service, and you might be able to find it that way if it has been judged.

How much info do you have on the car? License Plate? or more importantly VIN?

Because of the new privicy laws the DMV might not be able to help very much....especially if the car is now licensed in another state. If you happen to have a friend who is in law enforcement, he/she might have to be a higher ranking offical, they could run the VIN through their system and probably get you the current owner and address....but it would probably have to be a pretty good friend to get that kind of info.

Good luck with your search.

I myself am trying to find the person who now owns my former '71 LT-1 Conv. and all I have to go on is the Vin.# (194671S101719) & now unless that friend likes being questioned about why he or she ran a VIN.# or license plate # by their superiors they wont do it, that avenue dried up about two years ago. It has trickled down from the DMV and their privacy edicts. Rank might not have its privileges in this case now. But good luck in your search. Peace,,,Moosie
