Need advice: Hood stripes
Ok, I'm a regular in the C5 and C6 sections but I don't know anyone here. A friend of mine just purchased a very clean 82 Collectors Edition with about 15k miles. The paint is really good except for that oxidized look on the rubber bumpers and the black hood stripe is heat checked/cracked.
The question is, whether or not it is possible to remove and replace that hood decal and if the bumpers can be buffed to shine again. I'd hate to see him have to sand and repaint the entire hood.
Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
