Front Bumper Guard
Does anyone know if the front bumper guards on a 70 to 72 are different from the 68 and 69.I had the ones on my 72 rechromed did not get mine back, the pair I did get one fits perfect the other not even close I wonder if the one that does not fit could be for a 68 or 69.In the Ecklers catalog they have different part numbers.

The difference in the 1968-1969, and the 1970-1972 bumper guards is the presence of an extra piece of chrome metal. The 1970-1972 bumper guards had an extra section of metal that finished off the grill. It was painted the same color as the inner section of the grilles on the car.
The only issue is that the main body of the two guards is the same and they will interchange with each other. The extra metal section did not affect the way these bolted up to the car. I can send you some pictures of them to you if you need to see the difference.

I may be wrong, Every one that we had used had the extra section of metal. I'll have to check the stock on new 68-69's to see. I just did not have a chance to do this yet.
