When I saw the prices of the kits you can buy, I looked at my stack of 2 x 4s in my garage and within a few hours (and one trip to the hardware store for a set of rolling wheels) had built my own. Love it. I'll try to get some pictures shortly. Tools? Measuring tape, hand saw, power drill for the screws and a couple of stick on felt pads (1 inch will do).

You can easily suspend it, on a rack, to the ceiling. Well out of the way!
I got 2 tie-down straps and 4 big hooks. Hooks in the ceiling joists and put the ring on the hook of the strap over the hook in the ceiling. Picked the top up, and hung it in the straps, then went back and padded where the straps set. Covered it with a blanket and it's done. Off the floor, out of the way, and safe.

Hello,
I would still like to see the pictures and lengths of studs used to build.
I still need to do it and would appreciate all the help I can get.
Thanks.

After having my hardtop propped up against my workbench for 2 years and not knowing what to do about it, I finally decided on the fung shwey approach. See it?
