It really depends on price. If you can get a good deal alot wont matter.

A 68 # match car with 56k miles in really good shape could bring around 20k.. Or more.. Some others could probably get you a better idea of price.

Numbers match means that the pad # on the block matches the #'s on the vin plate attached to the drivers side windshield frame.

If you want to be really sure, the #'s should all be correct including heads, intake carb and every other part on the car. For that there are websites with all the part #'s..

What $ is he asking?. Also can you post a pic of the car and the engine compartment?. Guys on here can tell most anything by looking at a pic..

I like the '68 and all early C-3s (chrome bumper). Heck, I like Corvettes in general. Take into consideration that '68s are unique in many ways to the later models. They were a transistion from the C-2s to the early Shark cars. Once considered by many to be lemons they are finally coming into their own respect. Being a Resale Red (the red ones sell better) and being a convertible 4-speed makes it even more appealing.

That being said, allot of us wil say the 68 is the most desirable year.. Being the first..

And the lemon comment reffers to a single article that was written and since has been disproven.

The only problem you might see is availibility of some parts. I havent had a single problem.. I think its a myth..
