need a painter
And I bet he offered some low ball figure to take it off our hands, right?
I don't paint that much, but I believe you get results like that if you use the wrong reducer/thinner for the weather. I can't remember, and probably have this wrong, but that might be a cold weather thinner (use at 60 degrees, etc.) that was used when it was hot (like 90 degrees) out. Or maybe the other way around.
Or he could have sanded the body to raw 'glass, removing the thin skin of resin from the panels that most mistake for gelcoat. If he had used a good two-part epoxy paint, it would have sealed right up, but it sounds like either his bodywork overextended the epoxy primer or he used a cheap primer.
Or he shot enamel over lacquer (or is it the over way around?) because he didn't remove the old paint. That creates havoc in the new paint.
You should post a couple of pictures that show the bad paint so someone can make an educated guess. You'll have to use the macro on your camera to do it, probably, and check the pictures before posting as they will need to be clear and focused.
He's not arrogant by any means but very humble and in my search for quality paint he finally decided to accept my car. Mind you, my car needed much more than a paint job. It needed total restoration including installing front and rear bumper, aligning, doors, hood, refining the lines etc.I had someone else prep my car to paint stage. Also my car went through a complete interior and exterior color change.my car was Blue/doeskin interior and i changed it to white diamond/w black spoilers and side body moldings/ B&W interior. He's in Osyka about 45 minutes from you.
