Dave-
Have you decided which type of bumper material to use- Fiberglass, Urethane, or one of the new composites like TruFlex? While I've not replaced my bumpers (probably will sooner or later), I'd bet you can get alot of feedback on the quality of materials on the forum and what is best for your money.
Two years ago, I replaced both bumpers on a red 76. Replacement rear was a free OE rubber type from my buddies 76. He did a high end resto and wanted brand new bumper. Front flex fit was bought from local vette shop for $200? I was quoted $400 to paint and mount both bumpers from friend's local body shop. When he was done, neither him or I were satisfied with the quality of the work and he volunteered to reduce the final price to $200. So, in this case, on the super cheap end, I replaced both for about $400.00 total. I have a different 76 now that needs a front bumper. I expect to pick up a flex fit at same vette shop for $250 and I expect the bid from the body shop to be another $300 to paint and mount. So this time it will likely cost around $550 to just do the front. I live in a rural midwest town. Labor rates are relatively low.
