Need Help With C3

where does the Tachometer cable hook up to. I have a HEL Distributor with a Electrical Tach hook up

There are some HEI distributors that have the mechanical tach port for a cable, so you can use a mechanical tach with electronic HEI ignition.

Does your distributor have a threaded port for a tach cable? If not, then you have a normal HEI distributor. The next thing is, does your tach work? If not, I suspect it's because someone replaced the stock mechanical drive distributor with an HEI, and just unhooked the tach.
