Help fitting Hooker S/Comp & Sidepipes
Well, they're here... 4 big boxes from JetHot but not fitting too good. I've mounted the headers first & when I go to install the pipes, the mounting tabs on the pipes & mounting holes in the frame are no where near lining up. When I go give it a little persuasion, it's not parallel with the frame. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

At least you got your headers from them in good shape....One of mine came bent and can't mount to the motor. In reguards to the pipes, well my car hasnt even got that far yet but I am sure they wont line up either....That just seems the luck I am having with them.

It looks like your headers are too low. Is there anything strange about the height of your engine, does it have modified mounts? I just put mine on today, had issues with them but not like that. The left side had to be dimpled to clear the steering box. The right side had to be dimpled where it goes under the frame, was hitting it. Also the right side bolt holes had to be filed out to line up with the holes in the head.

Wow, no mods to the headers themselves. Bolted right up and cleared everything thank God. I'm wondering if I can simply fab up some brackets that would bolt & drop down from the frame's t-slots and mount directly to the holes in the sidepipes.
Will they then be too low? Does anyone have any pics on how thiers mounted up?

Please dont take this the wrong way, but you paid big bucks for them and I am sure that a member here will know what to tell you what to do to make them fit/work for ya but I'd be on the phone with Hooker trying to get their advice on what to do, its their product and I am sure it isnt the first time a $hitty fit has been encountered. It looks like you are doing nice work so far, why cob it now ? Peace,,,,And good luck,,,Moosie

Any chance I can get a dimension from somebody between the bottom of the frame rail and the top of the tallest header tube just before they all meet at the collector? Both sides PLEASE...
