I am thinking of possibly getting into a project 1971 or 1980-1982 C3. Is there anyone in Ontario Canada that has a project car for sale for $3000 or less. A no hit car is a must. I would like a straight frame, good body, that is workable. Motor does not matter because I want to put in a stroker 383.
Also if anybody has an idea at what type of cost this could run me. Could it be done for $20000-$25000, including original purchase???? I want to go total custom not original.....
Last time I saw a C3 that comes close to matching your discription was about 1 1/2 years ago and it was I believe a 76-77 but in pretty rough shape. I'll keep my eye's open.

I don't know the price, but I seen one in Brampton sitting at the rear of a auto dealer in a fenced in yard since last summer. I believe it's between a 80-82, if your near Brampton.
I havent seen any around lately, for some reason people dont like to them for sale in the snow, but I remember seeing a couple around home (late 70's I think) but I never looked to see how much. where are you from anyway.

Thank You for any constructive input.......
One matching what ou are looking for just listed in the for sale section $3200 in Michigan.
I seen that one looks pretty good, quite the drive and all the border stuff that goes with it. Have to think about it.
Boarder stuff is nothing if its older then 15 years. Your best bet for a deal is south of the boarder. The odd one comes up in Ontario. do a search on craigslist and kijiji.
for your price range I would definately be looking to the south as a frame replacement alone is going to be a fortune if you can't do it all yourself. I'll pm you a name and number as he'll give you a no bs answer. He'll be heading down to Carlisle soon so he might find something there for you.
Don't mean to sound negative but 1980 to 1982 was so bad GM didn't make a 1983 vett went strate to C4 1984. But you are building somthing different any way. Just food for thought.

I think they had a "soft" rear end diff especially if your planning a 383hp!
I'll keep my eye open but thats pretty cheap when a good frame goes $1,500. I think realistically cars in the 5-6 range would give you a much better platform to start with...JMO
