I have a 1975 4 spd Vette. This past week, I installed a new radio antenna. After completing the installl of the antenna, I noticed that my fuel gage was no longer working. Is it possible that I accidentally disconnected a ground wire or something as I was pulling the old antenna cable out of the car? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Reach in the gas door, standing from the rear of the car and reach to the left. You will feel a wire. Maybe that came loose. Mine did that to me and it was an easy fix on mine.
All the grounds are clustered together at the back of the car, and maybe one of the wires was damaged when you installed the antenna.
Start with a jumper ground wire attached to the frame and connect the other end to the ground on the tank sender. If the gauge works, trace the sender ground wire to its next connection and connect the jumper there. Check and continue on moving away from the tank till you find the bad wire.

There should be a black and a tan wire that goes to a rubber gromett connector. This is just under the antenna assembly. If you need pics send me a PM with your email address as I dont have picture posting rights.

No not yet. I have been travelling quite a bit (work) and have not had a chance to dig into it. I hope to get to it within the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know what I find and thanks for all your help.
