70 degrees in KC today, pulled off the cover, shined it up and took mine out for a nice long drive to get re-aquianted. Still too much gravel on the road so I put the bra back on to be safe.........
Lookin out the window at about 8 feet of snow accumulated in the yard. Just to add insult to injury, there is more falling. Spring can t come fast enough for me. My car is finished and I dont dare move it until the snow is gone and the heaves are gone from the roads.
So until then all I have is the stories posted on here. Keep em coming. Oh and pics, I love pics. If I can't have fun, I like to at least see others havin theirs.
Cheers
Bill

I was thinking of putting side pipes on mine during restoration but didn't....now I wish I had after looking at yours! Are your side pipe covers metal?

The sidepipe covers are the original stock covers (aluminum ).
Just like the California Dude's, North Carolina winters are very short also, have had my 82 out several times, like yesterday i went on a 300+ mile ride on my HD Ultra Classic, got my nose sunburned but thats what you pay for when your "ride" is a beautiful spring day in the mid 70's in a vette or on a Harley. you take advantage of what God gives you in terms of weather especially if its beautiful.
Drive on Airborne, Drive on!!
Man I'm absolutely losing my mind! The car is 90% done, and I'm thinking we've seen the last of the snow (there's maybe 5 inches just hanging out on the ground, but nothing coming down anymore). The sky isn't so grey as it used to be, either. It was even blue a few days ago! I'm hoping that I can have it on the road by next weekend. I'm gonna get an ulcer from being so anxious!
