Default Washer Pump

I am looking to rebuild or fix the washer pump on my 1973 Corvette. I need to know what color wires go on the front of the washer pump. It is easier to rebulid the pump or put an after market pump in. Does anybody have a picture of an operational pump. Thanks for your help!

Should be a yellow wire that's hot with key on and a black wire that gets grounded when you push the washer button.

I show yellow & dark blue. Dark Blue, thru the firewall, to the wiper & washer switch and yellow to the firewall where it is tied to the wiper motor , thru the firewall yellow to the fuse block. Looks like on my diagram ground is pcked up in the wiper motor.

I replaced mine 2 weekends ago. Bought a new pump from Advance Auto for $18 and change. The pump is easy to change. The tough part is removing the fluid tank that it's attached to. The tank will not come out without removal of other parts iether above or below. I changed mine without removing the tank. I removed the bolts holding the tank in, removed the filler neck (which I snapped back in later), unplugged the washer fluid motor wiring at motor and removed the plastic nut with filter (that attaches the pump to the tank) from inside the tank using a socket with a very long extension and one of those attachments that lets you drive sockets at an angle ( I forget what it's called.) I left the tank in the entire time and was able to move the tank at all angles. I just could not remove it.

Hope that helps,
Joe

I stand corrected the dark blue is the wire that gets grounded by the washer switch.
