Anybody going to CorvetteExpo this weekend in Tennessee? check it out at CorvetteExpo.com
Couple of us are going, and I am bringing my checkbook-looking for the 'right' C3.
Looks like it should be a good time.
Never been before, anything i should expect?

ps. Where is the best place to have a couple cold ones tomorrow night?
I went with a friend of mine and we dropped off his '64 inside the main showroom this evening. Looks like it is going to be bigger and better than the fall. Lots of good looking cars for sale.
No alcohol sold by the drink in Sevier County, will need to go west on the interstate into Knoxville for that.

They sold beer at the show last fall. I think they started serving about ten o;clock Saturday morning. Not that I was partaking or anything, I just saw the sign.

Nice. I saw their was an auction and a corral. I didnt register for the auction.l I am assuming their will be a lot of cars for sale right out in the corral and open. Is that a correct assumption?

Historically, they have had many cars for sale in the corral. Many of the cars don't meet the auction's reserve prices and will be on display for sale. You'll also find cars for sale scattered throughout the vendor's area too. There are all kinds there, good and bad. I wouldn't be too optimistic about finding a good deal though, the prices are usually high. With that said, if you see something you like but the prices is too high, don't be afraid to make an offer. Sellers take buyers more serious if a buyer makes them an actual offer versus a "would-ya-take". The saying "i'll give you $" goes alot further than "would-ya-take".
Like I said earlier, you see all kinds of cars for sale there, good and bad. So if you feel passion taking over step back and really, really, really, really look the car over.

Here is a pic of the corral / auction area from this past Fall - should give you an idea of what to expect. Auction took place in the tent.

A couple of hourse ago I called me friend who's at the show right now and he said he thought it was a good show. I suppose that means I'll have to make the five hour drive down there tomorrow.
