1972 carpet installation
Can anybody tell me whether or not the seat belt retractor cover under the seats; does the carpet cover them or do they set on top of the carpet? If they set on top of carpet, do you cut out the carpet area that is sunk down or glue the capet down in the area? thanks

The covers go ontop of the carpet. However, the area that is under the cover is cut out.
I glued the carpet down.
It is very helpful if you leave just a bit more carpet inside where the cover goes.
Also - the area where the lap belt retainers bolt to the side of the rocker are is also not carpeted. That area is blacked out from the factory.
