original / new modernized frame
I'm considering taking on a new project '72 for restoration.
My thought is which type of frame I should base this on. I could use an original frame. I've also looked at sriii motor sports frames and philly motor sports. If you know of other alternatives, please chime in.
I'm doing this because I love the '72 coupe looks. Apart from that, I like have modern performance and dependability where it doesn't interfere with the visual classic.
I'm seing the possibility with the new frames to get in some new tech that requires lot's of modifications if I would do it with the original frame. The new frames will also let me have the car on the street probably a year earlier than if I would spend time restoring the old frame.
I'm hoping some of you with more knowledge and experience than me could share your thoughts on pros and cons with these chassis and the frame ideas.

Rowley Corvette sells repro frames that sort of look original but are designed with modern technology. I believe their site is www.rowleycorvette.com

With the frame alternatives available, it looks like I can chose from any front / rear suspension from c3, c4 and c5.
What is good with them?
I only know the c3 and can't compare it to the others. My intuition tells me that more modern suspension as the c5 is probably better but I'm sure it's not that simple. Please post your thoughts on the alternatives.
