i recently buy a new leather seat cover to replace the existin ones ,i now is not to had to change but if somebody have some pictures of the instalation i realy apreciate ,thanks
Who gave you the impression it was not hard to replace? Eek.... There are tools yes, and Wilcox likely has a DIY on it, but IMO, take it to a an upholsterer. It's well worth it. It's not easy to do unless you have the tools, the button hooks and the previous experience.
I think I spent like $250 to have mine done.. Not bad IMO. Was like $65/hr or so.. That was both seats, bottoms/tops.
Or you can take the lazy option like I did and buy them already mounted. So you can just bolt them in. OOps I saw that you already have the covers...Most of the suppliers offer to do the mounting for you.
Hopefully you purchased new foam with your covers. I like others paid to have mine recovered. I tore the seats down and refinished the frames and a local upholsterer charged my $100 dollars out the door per seat. In my opinion as much work and money I have invested in doing my car right it was money well spent.
Call Al Knoch. He sells a DVD that shows one of his employees install seat covers. He apparantly has a DVD applicable for the seats that came with particular years. The one I bought is for people that have either a 68 or 69. Other years are available.
