Default Marine Appreciation Day..

At Camp Pendleton,Ca. These young Marines are just out of boot camp attending the School Of Infrantry...we drove up from San Diego with 20 Vettes and one Cobra...Vettes were there from Los Angeles area as well ...all told some 80-100 vettes...
But it was about the Marines today...they were treated to a very neat bar-b-que lunch courtesy of a church of one of the vette guys...

After run dinner in Oceanside...

Rich,

What a great idea, and showing support to the troops. ALso, thank you for your service, especially during that time in our Country's history.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, is a nice flashback for myself, and reminds me why I 'should' move back.
I was stationed there, but lived in Carlsbad, and I drove my 69' Camaro as my daily driver, everyday!!...I really miss being there.

Every Day is Marine Appreciation Day at my house!

Great event Rich - I lived most of my career at MCB Camp Pen (Pulgas Area) or 29 Stumps. It's been a very long time since I've seen the hills that green; beautiful backdrop for your event

Thanks for all you guys do out there and Semper Fi, Mac!

Think I ducked a big bullet Sunday...on the way up to Camp Pendleton, there was an accident and some debris on the highway..(small plastic pieces)...shortly after,I heard something metallic come loose and hit the footwell passenger side...I stopped in Calsbad, and checked..all looked good....

Just a few minutes ago,I thought I'd better take another look...I found two of my upper A-arm alignment shims laying on the frame..passenger side...and another barely on A-arm bolt....

We were bookin it too....lucky me..
