i 'm not going to say how, but, it wasn't illegal or anything. i got to drive a brand new '08 Z-06!!. window sticker on the car is $85,000 +, but i drove it like a stolen pinto. what a monster. i'm not really sure the car should be legal once in a lifetime experience for sure. now i'm ruined for life! just wanted to share my enthusiasm where it might be appriciated. ......oh, i can tell you for a fact that it'll do 110 in 3rd gear with a whole lot more to go.
i looks exactly like this.

I've driven the C6 Z06 twice. The car breaks traction right into third gear with the traction control ON. I can only imagine what the new ZR1 will feel like. I still like the feel and sound of an old big block though.

Sounds like you had a good time with the car. I have yet to drive a C6 yet not to mention a Z06. I know my Z06 runs pretty good. I can only imagine what another 105 HP would feel like. Someday I will get the chance.
I got to drive an '08 C6 when I was looking at getting one, and it impressed me even more than the C5 I drove a few years back. I WILL have one, in fact my next new car will be a C6 for sure.
i had never even sat in a c-6 until i sat in the drivers seat of this one. i have to say, they are alot more comfortable than our cars. i had the traction control off, so 1st gear is pretty useless, shift into second, then it's on! the car was easy to control, straightened itself out pretty well. never felt out of control at all. great car.i had driven my dads c-5 couldn't imagine the car needed any more power. now i can't imagine the new ZR-1.
The new Z is an amazing car.
After 2.5 years of owning one it's like the Cadillac commercial...."when you turn your car on, does it return the favor?"
However there is something about a C3 that does the same thing for me.
Having one of each is a dream come true.
Sounds like a lot of fun. I havn't driven one yet but I did drive a C5 once. W/the salesman in the seat next to me I took him on a ride he will never forget. At one point I drove down a dead end & the guy said oh no we will have to back out of here,,, ya I dumped the clutch and turned the wheel as hard to the right as I could & put my left foot on the brakes. I spun the car 180* white smoke every where and when I was done I figured this guy is going to tell me to give him the keys. But he just looked at me w/a smile on his face & fear in is eyes and said "that was fricking cool"
True story.
