I know I came across a website that could decode Corvette vin #'s and give you info including the build date. Now I cannot remember where that was? I believe my build date was 04/78.
Could someone point me to a site or run the info for me.

Like the birthday book...these are calculated estimates and not actual build dates so I wouldn't put much faith in their accuracy.
The attached article includes a survey of yellow sparetire rims in 78 and includes a table of VINs and build date. Build date was taken off the trim tag...I conducted this survey over several years. What you'll find is that a handful of Pace Cars were completed the last day of the month or March 31 to include VIN 1683 and VIN 1671. But look at the VINS completed in the last few days of March. Than contrast this info with what is presented in that website. I believe you'll conclude you would be mislead by using this to determine build date.

Instead of fooling around with birthday 'calculators' why not use the trim tag date?
I agree with Mike and if for some reason the trim tag is unavailable...it's clearly to me its a March 78 built Corvette. You can also verify by checking date codes on carbs, A.I.R. pump (for L82), A/C compressor, transmission, master cylinder, etc. none of which I suspect would have an April date code.
Well I am in Texas and Jake has the car in Nashville TN, so I cannot just run out and check it. I have asked Jake to do enough little things for me. If he get s achance great, I just really need it for the repo door tag I bought on ebay. It is not a big deal, I just wanted to try to be correct.
No, but it does give a date of 3-31-78 which would concur with the consensus that it was a march build date. It is pretty cool that it separates Pace Cars from the others.

I would agree with that but understand the date format used on the vehicle certification (door jamb) differs from the trim tag date code. Door Jamb uses the 3/78 format while the trim tage uses G31 format. See attached format for trim tag
I knew it was in a month/yr format. so H10 would be 4/10?
IF the trim tag date code is H10...than the date on the certification form is 4/78. H is the April date code while G is the March date code. VIN on my Pace Car is 2243 but is an H05 date code.
