the intake and water pump if I want to remove the heater hoses?

1/2" pipe plugs. Get fancy and use aluminum that's anodized red,black, or blue. Use hardware store brass ones. Don't use steel pipe plugs. In an aluminum water pump or intake, they will become permanent. They corrode the metal they're in and will destroy the threads if you can get them out.

Sort of. One of them is 5/8 NPT, IIRC.

My understanding is u should not plug them, rather loop them together with a small section of hose. PLugging them restricts cooling flow.
