Default 77 doors

Hi Guys,

Quick question, how much would you expect to pay for a pair of doors for a 77 coupe in reasonable condition? and are there many around?

Thanks,
Wev

Thanks for the link i'll have a look and contact them, was there a change in door dimensions between 77 and 79? i think the later C3 had small changes to the chassis dash etc, but did the door spec/size change?

Thanks,
Wev

Should fit. Internal mechanisms are different, but may be swappable.

a 78+ door will work with some modifications to the door handle attachment area. Some holes also need to be drilled. The previous owner of mine replaced my 78 door with an earlier model. During restoration, I cut out the door handle area and fabbed a new one up like the 78's should be. It took me around 2 hours to do.

Doors are plentiful and fairly cheap. I just let an empty 77 door shell go for $50 and it was in excellent condition. Your major cost is going to be the shipping of it overseas.

I have a drivers side shell that I would sell. The metal frame is very good. There may be some pitting in the upper corner where the weather strip attaches but the lower corners are perfect. I thought about using it on my 81 but don't feel like fixing the few minor flaws in the skin. UPS cracked the skin in a few places but nothing major. I needed the passenger side and the damage to it was much worse.

PM me if you are interested and I will get you some pics and a price (cheap).
