On my 69 tilt tele steering column I need the housing were the ignition cylinder fits into. ANYONE know were I can get one.
And are the tilt tele and standard columns the same length?
That's going to be a tough part to find. Year for year the T&T columns are the same length as the non-tilt. Not sure if that same part is used in other T&T columns but might fit from an Eldorado or Toronado-but I don't know. Perhaps Jim Shea will post.
The standard column (non-adjustable) housing is not the same as a T&T. However, I am quite sure that Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and Buick T&Ts from the 1969-76 time frame (with the round column head - not the dimmer type) will have the correct head.
Zip, Corvette Steering Service, and Doc Rebuild only list the 1977-82 dimmer type housings. So I am sure that the 79-76 are quite rare.
