Infinity Basslink
Two things about this... I liked the BassLink because by removing one nut (and unplugging the connections) I could remove it when I needed cargo space. Also, because the amp is in the sub-woofer enclosure, you can add an amp for the other speakers in the cargo/jack area behind the passenger seat. I've never seen an amp large enough to power 4 speakers and a subwoofer that will fit in there...
By the way, forget about the 4 X 6 speakers in the top of the dash. As D'Boy has posted many previous times... go to the kick panels and put in some 5 or 6 inch speakers. Also, that amp to power the other four speakers is worth the $$$ and time. It adds great clarity and definition particularly in the frequency range that affects vocals and solo instruments like piano, guitar, sax, etc.
I intend on putting my BassLink back in as soon as I get done with paint and reinstall the interior.
Good Luck,
kdlp
Also have Infinity 6x9 in rear corners with custom boxes/infinty plate system in dash and infinity 5.5 in kick panels with an Infinity 4 channel amp.
Sounds pretty tight.
The Bass Link will make your music sound a lot better and full.
It is very adjustable from nearly nothing to shaking your mirror.
Won't win you any ghetto contests though.
Over all, I like mine.
It can be removed somewhat easily.
I'm mixed on the appearance. It looks kind of like an add-on sitting out on its own. Not as professional looking as a built in sub.
If I did it over, I'd probably build a sub into the storage compartment.
But the cost/quality/sound/easy install make it a good value.
Best Buy sells them at a good price. They're also all over Ebay.
(I shopped the local stores to see the products and then bought over Ebay for half the cost)
Another after thought is round 6.5 inch speakers will fit in the stock rear speaker locations in place of modifying to install 6x9. I think the sound is similar.
