I am full of questions here. I have been looking through the all the posts for Headlight adjustments and have found a few. Sounds like they are a pain. Is there a step by step procedure to do this?
I have one when it's closed, is lower than the body, and when it opens the back side of the headlight cover strikes the body and jams.
It looks like someone has replaced the vacuum unit that operates this light.
there are limit screws that control maximum open and close positions that can be easily seen. if the headlight isn't centered in the hood opening, check the position of the entire headlight assembly where it attaches to the body. if that's ok, there is a bearing assembly at each side of the headlight that can be loosened and moved to center the headlight. they're usually rusted (especially the allen set screw) so use lots of pb blaster.

While your waiting for the AIM, buy a Haynes book at the local parts store. Page 12-7 shows headlight door adjustment points.
This book does not really get into complex detail but helps supplement your other manuals. The easy stuff
You probably will have to soak the bolts with WD40 if they are rusted. Mine were.
The chassis repair manual also has good detailed instructions.
I agree with above comment that the pivot bushings (3 bolts each) are where you'll get the most adjustment room and use PB blaster first. Just a PITA to reach in there to loosen em. Remove the grills to access the lower front & center bolts. The top you'll need to reach through the hood opening. Only loosed them slightly because the assembly will drop a little and you just want to nudge the assemblies so they stay in place when you retighten the bolts.

that looks pretty severe, it could be your header bar reinforcement has corroded or separated from the fiberglass allowing the headlight assembly to drop
