1979 Corvette Heater Core

Don't know the difference between your '79 and my '75, but I just changed mine. Drain the radiator to a level below the water pump, remove the lines where they attach to the core from under the car. Remove the r/h dash pad, front l and r console covers, center dash instrument bezel (a real pita), all of the ductwork on the center and r side. The core box is now ready to remove from inside. Two bolts or nuts inside the car and two on the engine side firewall. I may have missed a few steps, but you have the general idea. I found the hardest thing was getting started. I've had the interior of this car apart several times for various reasons; just wish I didn't have to do it again.
Good luck. Took me about 6 hours.
