Default Corvette parts vs Rebate checks

Sales of Corvette parts should get a boost very soon...I'm getting a new mini starter for the 69 and some other stuff for the 78...(carpet kit, new shifter bezel, etc)

Direct deposit rebates started today...5 million more to be deposited by Friday...mailed checks begin May 9...sequenced by last two digits of your soc sec number...

Time to make up your parts list....

Not for me, I hope to put most of mine into my savings account and not have to touch it.

I must not be understanding some of the last posts. I paid around 17K with my '07 return. As long as you are under 150K jointly, I should receive this paltry $1200.00 in the mail.

I need that metal shield that covers the back up switch attached to the manual transmission (I think that's what it is).

No confusion...if you are single with an AGI(Adjusted gross income) of $75,000 you receive $600....if your AGI is $150,000 and married filing jointly.you receive $1200....not including the child tax credit,if any...

No parts for me. We got our house painted. Of course we were planning on having it done before we found out about this little exercise in well planned .gov spending.

Soooo anything below the 150,000 and married you get the 1200......Ohhhhhh I'm pizzed the wife told me we didnt qualify She doesn’t have a Vette to buy parts for I do. She is probably wanting to spend it on something frivolous like bills or something.

Lets see $4 a gallon for home heating oil vs parts for a 500 mile a year car? Average NE home uses 1000-2000 gallons per winter. $4 a gallon for milk, $3/dozen eggs,$25 pizza's,etc I think the vette is going sit most of the summer in the cool shade of the garage.

Ditto, I just wonder if the tax rebate scheme was invented to get the oil companies some more money? I made to much as a single person to qualify. Anyway if you get one spend it on lap dances, Harley Davidson's, and guns.

Plasma is rated higher all around. Unless you are running your computer through it. LCD is just like your computer screen. On a plasma it isnt as clear. But for television DV broadcast, Plasma is best. (studied hard before I got my 50in)
