Need help with crate engine options
I found a car that on paper looks close to what I want. It has a Crate ZZ4 engine. But, what are Edlebrock Performer Aluminum head and a dual plane intake manifold?
Is a Borg-Warner 4 speed transmission an original transmission? By this I mean is that what GM used in 1974 or is this a replacement tranny?

I think by '74 they were using the Borg Warner Super T-10 as the standard manual trans. A crate ZZ4 comes with aluminum vortec heads, so it is quite possible that someone bought the ZZ4 short block and used the Edelbrock heads which are good heads. A dual plane intake is generally used for street engines as opposed to a single plane intake which is more for top end and race applications. The internals of the intakes are different.
