Hi there , i have been reading this forum for a long time and you made me love the C3's so i desided to go and search for one. i dont know if i got lucky with this one, its all stock 76 L-48 auto with a new motor and trans so its not a number matching car. AC pw and a really nice black from the inside
any way he give it to me with three sets of T-tops one of them is glass and still in the factory box a set of weather strip all over and two boxes filled with parts ,its just like he wanted to restor it but it turend like it didnt need any restoration... any way i paid $8,500
Welcome to the forum. You got a great deal assuming the frame and birdcage are in good shape, and the glass T-tops will fetch over $1,000 if advertised right.
Nice ride, nice price, enjoy it and drive it like you stole it. The 76 is not a real collectible car right now but with a new engine and trans you should be good to go have have some fun with it. For 8.5G you are not going to get a "collectible" car anyway unless it needs tens of thousands of $ in work.
looks awesome. as long as you and the family enjoy it, have fun!
my wife was freakin when i bought mine (3500) and then she drove it..... that changed everything!
Do enjoy your new Vette - make sure to have the exhaust system checked for leaks as you don't want to get sick - also, make sure that there is plenty of turn signal fluid. Have fun!!!
